New Bands!

Ah... it is my favorite time of year. Summer is over... it gets dark earlier... and there is something in the air! OK, enough of that. Let's get down to business because we have a lot to talk about.

Unless you have been living under a rock then you have seen all the amazing shit that has gone on with The Bangkok Five. With a couple of thousand plays a day on MySpace and all the cool shit they are doing with Livevideo.com (and if you don't know what I am talking about look it up, 'cause it is great!) The video "We Love What Kills Us" is off the fucking charts and doing great and is available everywhere. You can get The Bangkok Five's ring tones on iTunes and all your favorite carriers. And they are getting ready to not just tour, but the band is about to put themselves REALLY out there for all to see. Stay tuned for that crazy announcement. Check out their e-lab sessions on Livevideo.com and suggest a song you want them to remake.

We have signed a few bands since we last chatted... so let me intrroduce you first to Fiori. These four kids (yeah, you heard me right) are from the UK and can they kick some serious ass. Old school style... reminds of the days of hanging out on the Sunset Strip in the 80's... ah... but that is another story for another time. Back to the Fiori boys... putting the finishing touches on their album. And holy shit does it rock hard.

Next up... The Uprising. Yes, that bastard child of OC punkers El Centro.  See, I figured El Centro kicked so much ass that I would be an idiot not to put this album out as well.  The album has just reached my hands via special messenger and it is an onslaught of punk and metal just like I like it. Produced by the band, Jim Munro and Greg Hetson; the album Appetite 4 Deception will be available digitally this fall when the band is out on the road with The Dwarves. And then hits stores at the start of 2009.

And finally, we are very happy to have Jonny Lives! back here at Long Live Crime. For those of you who know the whole story, then you know how cool it is that they are back and we couldn't be happier! As the band is getting ready to go back into the studio for the new record we have heard the demos and they rock. Stay tuned for tour announcements coming up at the start of 2009.

Ok, so I guess it is safe to leave you with this bit of information to digest! Enjoy the fall... think happy thoughts for the Red Sox and the Patriots, and once again thanks for your  continued support. We couldn't do this with out you!

The Bangkok Five

The new CD from The Bangkok Five is done half in English and half in Spanish. And it kicks ass in both languages. Keep checking back to see what radio stations are playing them and when they're coming to your town. More...

BROKEN HALO RECORDS

This is the lighter side of Long Live Crime. Make no mistake, the music on Broken Halo is solid and driving: singer/songwriters, y'alternative, alt-country and honky-tonk blues. Come on over and take a listen... you will not be disappointed!
